Airport director given two more weeks of leave

- jhewlett@herald-leader.com

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board has granted Blue Grass Airport executive director Michael Gobb two more weeks of leave from his job.

Gobb asked for a month's leave under the Family Medical Leave Act on July 19 because of a “serious health condition,” according to a form he filled out.

He had been expected to return to work Aug. 19.

“We've granted Mike another two weeks of personal leave,” airport board chairman Bernie Lovely said at a meeting Wednesday. Lovely said Gobb is expected to return to his job after Labor Day.
