Dawn's story so far


February 2003: Dawn Nicole Smith steals a prescription pad from a UK dentist's office.

September-November 2003: She writes fraudulent prescriptions for 540 pills.

January 2004: Dawn is indicted on six counts of obtaining pills fraudulently and one count of theft of a prescription pad.

March 25, 2004: After pleading guilty, Dawn enters drug court.

March-May 2004: Dawn tests positive five times for using opiates and serves time in jail.

June 30, 2004: Dawn gets baptized in hopes of release from addiction.

July 2004: Dawn is pregnant with her fourth child.

Aug. 26, 2004: Dawn gets inpatient treatment at Lexington's Schwartz Center.

Sept. 30, 2004: Dawn enters Chrysalis House, a residential treatment center for women.

Dec. 10, 2004: She is dismissed from Chrysalis House for lying.

Feb. 24, 2005: Daughter Mary Caitlin Smith is born.
